 Subj: Cost Saving Procedures

As we all know sales is the only activity that brings revenue.

Ron and I have reviewed some procedures that would save us some expense money.  Many of these steps are the same steps that you would normally do in your own home to reduce expenses.   We have already reduced expenses and we are working diligently to reduce them even more.   With the team working together we should be able to do this easily.  Thus, we are asking everyone’s support in helping with the following at the office.   (More procedures may become necessary at a later time).

All room air conditioners are added for your comfort.  With this in mind, please do not lower the thermostat on these to below 75F.   (We have found them at 62F and one was totally frozen!).   In fact, we have found that one air conditioner being used in the agent area keeps the area very cool!  If you are in the office and are the last one to leave, please insure that the room air conditioners are off.  DO NOT TURN OFF the central air conditioning.  It is programmed to operate and turn on the air conditioner in the morning hours.  If you turn it off, it will take longer to cool in the morning.

Computer Equipment.   Please turn off the monitor totally and CPU by shutting down and using the power button when you are done with the computer (Did you know that one computer monitor uses as much power as a refrigerator?)  That means that 5 refrigerators are running each night and all day for 24 hours a day – plus putting wear and tear on the monitors and computers.  Turn them off when not actually being used.

Lights:  Are the outside lights on in the daytime?   Are lights on that we don’t necessarily use?   Do the right and the bright thing!   Turn them off unless you need it.   Let’s start with these suggestions and work together to reduce expenses.
